West Virginia Pharmacy Technician Certification License
West Virginia pharmacy technicians are required to register with the West Virginia state board of pharmacy for $25. This registration
has to be renewed biennially. West Virginia pharmacy technicians are required to either pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
(PTCB) exam or work for 2080 hours in a pharmacy as a technician trainee. West Virginia pharmacy technicians are also required to complete
20 hours of documented on-the-job training and have either a graduation equivalency diploma (GED) or a high school diploma. The maximum
pharmacy technician to pharmacist ratio in West Virgina is 4 to 1. The West Virginia state board of pharmacy may revoke, suspend,
deny, or restrict a pharmacy technician's registration.
