Oregon pharmacy technicians have to be licensed for $35. This license has to be renewed annually. The pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) has to sign a document stating that the pharmacy technician has completed a checklist of competencies. Oregon pharmacy technicians are also required to complete a law CE exam provided by the Oregon state board of pharmacy annually. You may be licensed in Oregon as a pharmacy technician or a Certified pharmacy technician (they have 2 different application forms) by passing the PTCB exam. There are no regulations regarding the maximum pharmacy technician to pharmacist ratio in the state of Oregon.
