Los Angeles Pharmacy Technician Certification License
California pharmacy technicians have to meet one of the following criteria in order to qualify for licensure as a pharmacy technician;
- Associate degree in pharmacy
- Board approved program
- ACPE approved program
- PTCB exam
Furthermore, all California pharmacy technicians must either have a high school diploma or a GED. The license and registration fee is $50.
California pharmacy technicians must renew their licenses every 2 years. In institutional care settings, the maximum pharmacy technician to
pharmacist ratio is 2 to 1. The California state board of pharmacy has the power to revoke, suspend, restrict, or deny pharmacy technician
license and registration.

Los Angeles pharmacy technicians with less than 4 years of experience make an average salary of $12.35 to $16.29 per hour. Los Angeles pharmacy
technicians with 4 or more years of experience make an average salary of $15.12 to $18.13 per hour.
