Working at a hospital vs. retail pharmacy?

What is the difference between a hospital pharmacy environment and a retail pharmacy environment (cvs, walgreens, kroger,etc..)? Which would you suggest? Also, do pharmacy technicians have to deal with customers' insurance companies?

Hospital vs Retail Pharmacy Technician

The ideal pharmacy practice environment is different for everyone because everyone has different personalities. If you are outgoing, then you would enjoy working with the public as a retail pharmacy technician. You would be expected to fill prescriptions, assist the pharmacist, ring up customers, and deal with customers' insurance companies. If you are more technical minded, then you would enjoy working in a hospital. Hospital pharmacy technicians are expected to make intravenous drugs, refill drug dispensing machines, and deliver medications to nurses.
