Connecticut pharmacy technicians are required to have a pharmacy manager sign a statement saying that the technician has completed
a training program at the pharmacy. Connecticut pharmacy technicians must register and pay a $50 registration fee. This registration is
renewed annually. The maximum pharmacy technician to pharmacist ratio in Connecticut is 3 to 1 in an institutional setting. The maximum
pharmacy technician to pharmacist ratio in Connecticut is 3:1 in an amulatory setting if none of the pharmacists who work at the pharmacy
have filed an objection to working with up to 3 PTCB exam certified pharmacy technicians. Alternately, if the pharmacy technicians will be
making parenteral products, the maximum ratio may be up to 3 pharmacy technicians to 1 pharmacist if the Connecticut state board of pharmacy
approves of this. Otherwise, the maximum pharmacy technician to pharmacist ratio in an ambulatory setting is 2 to 1. The Connecticut
state board of pharmacy may deny, revoke, restrict, or suspend a pharmacy technician's registration.
