Alaska pharmacy techncians have to be licensed with the Alaska state board of pharmacy. The registration fee fee is $150 and you have to
renew your registration every 2 years. Maintaining this registration needs 10 hours of continuing education every 2 years.
The Alaska state board of pharmacy can restrict, suspend, revoke, or deny your registration. There
is no examination requirement for licensure as an Alaska pharmacy technician, but Alaska pharmacy technicians are required to have GED or
high school diploma. There are no regulations regarding
pharmacist to pharmacy technician ratios in Alaska.
